Thought of the night:

We live in a fast-food age where we want things to be instant. So when we encounter difficulties, we want quick fixes.

Our threshold for pain is so low that we’d rather avoid it all costs. We’ve lost the virtue of longsuffering and perseverance.

This thought struck me as I look back on the past months I had in 2011.

Having this realization in mind, I look forward to making my 2012 a more wiseful year ahead!
